About Us

Building Bridges was commenced by Nicola Holland. It originally operated as Mrs Doubtfire’s supervised contact Service, which she worked within since April 2013, taking over the service in April 2014.

Nicola has a degree in Psychology and Counselling and practices as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. She has worked in the field of contact since 2001.  Working for a large voluntary organisation in England providing child contact services and parenting support, as well as taking on the role of one of two Parenting Experts of a large local authority in London. Trained to deliver several evidence based parenting programmes including Positive Parenting, Incredible years and the Strengthening Families Strengthening communities’ programme. As well as various training in related fields.

Nicola is a trainer for the Separated Parent’s Information Programme. She has continued her work here in Australia for Relationships Australia, developing and delivering Child Focus group programme’s to parents in conflict to help them understand how conflict impacts on them and their children. Giving them the tools and skills to help change and improve the current situations to ensure better outcomes for their children.

With her experience in parental conflict and parenting she is able to keep the child focus paramount within the agency in reducing conflict, stress and emotional trauma between separated families.
